Court Intro

 [She may have been raised as a princess but Ahim was tough. She knew that if she wanted something she was going to have to work for it and she would have to find her own way to get it. The first step was joining up with the pirates and that worked out grand. But now there was more that she wanted. Since giving up the greatest treasure, there was a yearning for what she had. 

Not to change the past because there was a bond with her crew she would never be able to give up now. But to change the future.

If you become a queen you can bring back the dead. And she hoped to do just that. Her family, her entire planet. Her wish was grand but she would attain it with her own two hands.

With that in mind, she had walked straight through that door without any hesitation into a land where her clothing suddenly turned into horrible 2nd rate cotton. Well this wasn't something they told her about. She patted down her flaccid coat  and started to panic just a tiny bit. All of her stuff was also gone; her weapons, her cellular. Everything.]

[Meanwhile, Ian had worked his way up the ranks impressively and was only two tiers down from queen. Although it was a rather recent upgrade to get Bishop and now, with King gone, gaining the silver and completing objectives again was going to be harder than it was before.

He was alone without his closest friend. That was probably worst than thinking about how much longer it will take before he gets to Queen.

It was back to the usual grind though and the best way for him to get his daily silver was the easiest thing for him. Talking to girls. And when looking around at their clothes, their lack of accessories, nothing to carry with them and searching through their pockets for their belongings, it was easy to tell who a new arrival was.

So when his sights landed on Ahim, he could tell immediately.]

Pardon me but, you look a little worried. Did you just get here?

[fairtidings]

[She was slightly more than a little worried really. Ahim wasn't sure when she had become so reliant on her weapons and her mobirate but here she was stuck without them and she felt rather naked for the lack of a better word.

Then there was the issue of how shabby her clothes looked. Definitely not suitable for a princess. Although she does make an effort to smile for Ian.]

Thank you very much for your kind conern. I have only just arrived here and may just need a few moments to adjust my bearings.

[Amongst everything else that she needed to do, really.]

Take your time. [Really, they had plenty of it from now on.] And also, welcome to the court.

[fairtidings]

[That brought a smile to her face. What a courteous person to meet out here in this new land. She brushes down her really drab clothing.]

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. Excuse my manners, my name's Ahim. Ahim de Famille.

[She curtsies to him as best as she can considering she's feeling really self conscious at the moment.]

[Why did that name sound vaguely familiar?]

I'm Ian. It's nice to meet you Ahim.

It's also a pleasure to meet you.

[She glances around the area she's in.]

I hope you don't mind me asking; are you a local to this area?

[ohmyblack]

Nah, most of us are brought from our own worlds to this place. I've just been here longer than most.

[fairtidings]

[Well, that makes him more a local than her at the very least.]

In that case we're all under the same predicament. I wonder if perhaps, I may ask you for some of your experience with this world if you are happy to share.

[ohmyblack]

Of course. But, why don't we find a place to sit down and talk? It might take some time and I don't want you to get tired standing since you just got here.

[fairtidings]

That's very considerate of you. Was there anywhere that you had in mind?

[ohmyblack]

The Main Hall is likely one of the more important buildings so, why don't we go there. It has the dining hall and its in the middle of all the dorms that you will be staying in.

[fairtidings]

Absolutely, I'll be happy to follow your lead. It's also reassuring to know that they prepare living quarters for the new arrivals.

[ohmyblack]

It may be a little cramped in there. It's dormitory style and everyone who first arrives here ends up in the same one. You need to rank up to be able to access the higher level ones where there's a bit more privacy.

[fairtidings]

Maybe I will be able to make a few acquaintances while I'm sharing a living space with the other new arrivals.

[She was hopeful enough about that at any rate.]

If everybody I meet is as kind as yourself, things will work out just fine.

[ohmyblack]

[Well, she didn't seem to have much problem with modesty? Good?]

Most people here are pretty nice. We all came from different places but, it's easy to connect on having the goals of Queen rank.

[fairtidings]

[Kind of get used to a lot of things when you're a pirate. Specially on a ship full of boys and a tomboy.]

That's definitely good news. Makes things a lot more welcoming when you're able to be surrounded by comrades. I believe to rise up to the rank of Queen you would need to accomplish many objectives, would that be correct?

[ohmyblack]

Yeah, the more you complete, the more silver you get and also, leads you closer to the higher ranks. Also the master and servant bond where you get silver for the other persons objectives help a lot.

[fairtidings]

Then I'll have to work hard to find out what my objectives are. And maybe explore the master and servant bond a little more once I've settled in. There's still so much to discover.

[ohmyblack]

There is. Also sometimes challenges pop up and create more chances to get silver like it was an objective. But there's plenty of time for that. Getting settled is definitely the most important.

And maybe some better quality clothes.

[fairtidings]

I'll have to learn more about these challenges. That sounds a little more promising than unknown objectives.

[And she pauses, a very light flush on her cheeks as she turns away just slightly.]

Yes, these clothes. I really do need to replace them as soon as I can.

[ohmyblack]

Do you want to do that today? I'll show you the shop and, why don't we get something you like as a welcoming present.

[fairtidings]

[That does catch her off guard just slightly. Either she's met up with a fine gentleman or there's something that he wanted. She smiles at him regardless.]

That would be very generous of you, Ian-san. And when we've only just met?

[ohmyblack]

I'm one of the more high ranked people here and have money that I don't need to spend on myself. It'll go to better use being spent to give someone who just got here an easier time adjusting, don't you think?

[Gentleman. She found the perfect gentleman.]

[fairtidings]

[Much like the gentlemen of the her court back at home. He certainly acts as gallant as they did when they were chasing for her hand. That was a long time ago, however.]

Then I shall take you up on your friendly gesture, Ian-san. It was definitely a great fortune that I have crossed paths with you.

[Then with a slightly softer tone and less of her princess demeanour.]

[It was more that did his best. He bought entire trucks of flowers for girls when he wasn't financially stable and here, he had more disposable income than he could hope for. Why not make a girl who was clearly not comfortable with her current clothes happier and get her something she would love.]
